    Help ID These Songs

Okay gang, here are a few songs I need ID'ing. Can anyone help with the following which I'd like to know the correct song title and the name of the artist who performs the song...

    1) Title (?): It's All Wrong (But It's Alright)
The song starts with trumpets over a beat with a female singer. Its very Eurodisco sounding, almost Spanish themed trumpet. Female voice, "I knew from the start that it wouldn't be right, but I followed my heart and we met that same night..." Chorus "its all right but I don't care, its all wrong but its all right".

    2) Title (?): Easy Love or Easy To Love
Starts with a female chorus, sounds circa 76 as its very early disco sounding with lots of orchestra and features lots of saxaphone. I think the words are "its so easy to love you, ? ? its not hard to do, you just tell me it always and I'll be true..." Very bubbly and very uptempo. Music makes you think of a couple spinning around the dance floor. A sax solo at about the 2 minute mark.

    3) Title (?): Come And Make Me Feel Good
Sounds like an early 80's type funky disco sound and begins with female singers repeating twice "Come, come and make me feel good" and "Is it hard for you, is it so hard for you to do" repeated twice. Its been labelled by a group called Shades of Love but I have no idea if this is correct.

    4) Title (?): I've Got A Date With The Rain
Sounds very early 70's soul disco, very uptempo, features a male voice in falsetto at the very beginning saying "Rain, rain, rain, rain". Bongos in background. Words, "I've got a date in the rain, gotta go walking in the rain, the clouds are gathered in skies, gathered in my eyes..."

    5) Title (?): Take Love Where You Find It
Sounds very funky, very much in the musical style of Chic, features lots of flute in the music and a female singer. Starts with a mixed male and female chorus - can't understand the words and then goes into instrumental music. This is then followed by a female singer humming says "oh yeah" seductively and then starts singing "Take Love Where You Find It, you can't go home emptyhanded, there's no sense in waiting..."

    6) Title (?): Meteor Man
Sounds like a techno rip off of Patrick Cowley's "Megatron Man" with a thumping base line with a female voice over top of the constant drum beat saying "Meteor Man, Meteor Man, Meteor Man". The female voice slowly fades in at the beginning of the song saying this and repeats for about 30 seconds and then fades back out before some music and then the words "He came and he went and he just disappeared like a flash in the night".

Well, I'll take the two easy ones::icon_razz:

#3 Is titled "Come Make Me Feel Good" and is indeed by the Shades of Love.

#4 The original version from 1972 is by Eddie Kendricks of the Temptations. Correct title is "Date With The Rain". There was also a 12" done in 1985 by Arnie's Love which isn't half bad.

Almost forgot: Without giving it a listen #1 sounds like Gino Soccio doing "It's Alright".

#6 is Dee D. Jackson "Meteor Man". From her Cosmic Curves LP, also issued as a 7" single. I don't know if there's a 12" of this... if there is, it's very rare.

Thumbs up Re: Help ID These Songs

#5 is The S.O.S. Band - Take Love Where You Find It

And I listened to Gino Scoccio (It's Alright) and #1 is definitely something else.

    Hey Cdnbob,

I'm pretty sure #1 is "It's All Wrong (But It's Alright)" by Munich Machine from their 2nd LP "Whiter Shade of Pale."
