David and I have been together 9 years, next month. And we've been married (in Mass) for 2 & 1/2 of them. With the exception of my brother, no one in my family has ever stayed married that long. Nor been married less than 3 times!
When all the arguments are said & done, I just don't understand why we're still considered as "less than". Solely, because of our gender. (Tho', as an ooooold-school gay-Man {I've been out since I was 15, back in 1974.}, I never thought, in my lifetime, I'd be able to get legally married, anywhere.)
But we're thankfull for people like you, who have the courage and conviction to speak-up.
(Sometimes we really do feel like it's just us & a parade...)
Thanks for taking the time to post that, Bernie!
I was having a rough day and now it's ending on a better note.
