Manu DiBango Soul Makusa
I can't find a clip but I think that is what you are looking for =]
I have googled for 2 nights and gone on youtube with no luck. This group was from the 1970's and their lyrics used to say:
Ma Ma Ku Mamasa Ma Ma Makusa. They had some other lyrics that sounded like african words. I remember hearing a chanting like " Ah Unga ,unga, unga! It's not the Michael Jackson song Wanna Be Starting Something.
If anyone has any clues PLEASE post what they think it might be.I have hummed this song and said those lyrics to several people and they all say "OMG! I remember that song but can't remember the name lol

I think the guy who wanted to know the name of this song owes me a drink at least ! lol

THANK YOU!!!
Soul Makossa.
And Manu was eventually compensated for MJ's song. :)
wonder if Nairobi & the Awesome Foursome also considered royalties too
YouTube - NAIROBI/AWESOME FOURSOME - FUNKY SOUL MAKOSSA
If you buy this record your life, will be better.
Dibango will probably be compensated from Rihanna's song "Please Dont stop the Music" There was also the Jennifer Lopez song .She used a pretty big portion of this song as well...

True or false: 'Soul Makoosa' was considered to be the very first coined 'disco' song in the 70s clubs. Somewhere I read it was BT Express' 'Here Comes The Express' first, but not too sure. Anyways it's still a hit today! Can you blame Awesome Foursome when they did the electro version, and why DJ's still like to mix their free beats track the most? :icon_razz: It's off the hizzy!
