You are talking about songs that are about 17-18 minutes in length, respectively.
The idea of including a sax solo, isn't too much of a stretch, for any writer, or Producer.
Not only could it have been Cerrone, or Alec... It could've been Don Ray. He was, at that time, basically a strings & horns arranger.
