Where would you like to start, Chris? There are plenty of regulars here who are willing to point you in many directions. I'm new to the forum myself but it's fun and if you maybe give some examples of what do and don't like, the floodgates will open...I'm sure! Good luck! :D

Hey DiscoBiscuits. I am one of the regulars. There are many great songs with various styles. Because of the greedy bastards in the music industry, Bernie can't afford to give you a sample otherwise I would have suggested going to the "Top 500." Anyway I'll give you 5 of my favorites you may not have:

    1) Dance With You - Carrie Lucas
    2) Keep Your Body Workin' - Kleeer
    3) Cococmotion - El Coco
    4) In The Socket - Shalamar
    5) Cuba - Gibson Brothers

I have tons more but I'm sure others will chime in. Whatever you decide, I feel pretty confident you'll enjoy so get down and set into the music.

DiscoBiscuits: I think this thread has already hit problems. Unless you can tell us which records you really like, out of the hits you have, you're gonna be going round in circles.
Of the two lists submitted, one shows class, the other shows tackiness IMO, so if I acted blindly by buying everything on both I'd be hugely disappointed by a lot of records.

Hi Chris & welcome to the forums.
About the favorite disco songs, there are just way too many to mention here.
I suggest you take a look at the "What are we listening to this week" forum.
Like Bernie writes, it really is an education in music.

Also, the top 500 might help.

    Enjoy :)

Geez, I'm wondering which poster posted the classy list and which posted the tacky list???? Hmmmm???

    I can't tell!!!!

But then, I figure the one with "Coco-comotion" just might be the tacky one??? Eh??? Just a hunch. Sorry, Tall Paul. It's just a matter of opinion. Don't make no never-mind in the long run.

GOSH!! That's a tuff one...it's like telling you what you will and won't like in food. It's just not that easy. As some have already posted. The simple fact that you like disco leaves the door wide open for all kinds of stuff. It's up to. Too many styles and kinds of Dance, Pop, 80's dance and 70's, fast tempo, slow tempo. Geee, my guess is you'll have fun finding out. All anybody can do is give you songs to look for and listen to that they like.
    A few of mine are....

    "Menergy" -Patrick Cowley
"Boogie woogie dancin' shoes" - Claudja Barry
"Don't stop the music" - Yarbrough & Peoples
"Male stripper" - Man 2 Man
    "Disco kicks" - Boystown Gang

ok, ok I, like so many others here can name hundreds and soon you will too. Enjoy finding out your taste Chris. Let the music take you where you've never been. Good to have you here in the forum. :D

    I need Disco Songs

    Dear DiscoBiscuits

    Here's some that I'm searching to download myself. I have them on "8-tracks". If you're really 17 I don't think you'd remember 8-tracks.

Romeo & Juliet by Love & Kisses
Let's Start the Dance - Bohannon
    The Player - First Choice
Girl, You Need a Change of Mind - Eddie Kendricks
    Hot Shot - Karen Young
    Devil's Gun - CJ & Co.
    Galaxy - War
Push Push, In the Bush - Musique
Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet - Gonzalez
Keep On Truckin' - Eddie Kendricks
I'm a Man - Steve Winwood & Spencer Davis Group
    Everylasting Love - Carl Carlton
...and two of my favorites, which I'm having difficulty obtaining, Let Me Be Your Fantasy (Love Symphone Orchestra, I think), and My Claim to Fame (Is Your Love for Me) by James Wells, I think. Two excellent hustle numbers.

This is only a small list Biscuit. Hope you find what you're looking for.

And you should check out the 500 top disco songs. If you have a download program, search them. Most of them are classics. Good luck.

    :D

Ouch, again. I think that spark needs to be doused down. Totally unnecessary and a real nice way to welcome a new member  . Talk about tacky...
