Numero 1 is Devil's Gun.
In Finland, before it became a radio hit many people talked about this great brand new song getting played in clubs, called "Why Can I See". Turned out to be Y.M.C.A.
In a previous post...a few were listing songs that have been requested by different names.
I thought we could start a new post just for fun and see if the savvy ones could guess them. If you know of any please feel free to list.

Maybe that is what is should have been called...it would have stopped millions feeling the need to do body letters! :icon_mrgreen:
I'm Thinking #2 is Haven't You Heard - Patrice Rushen
#3 can only be Murphy's Law by Cheriwhich is by far one of the better "age of the munchins" songs from the early 80's along with Wordy Rappinghood and the Wikka Rapp
Pactrice is definitely one of my favorite artists, she had so many great songs during the eighties that are still hot today - Forget me Nots, Number One, Look Up, just to name a few.
Q.D. Earl
Unlimited Music Merchants
Q.D. Earl on Stickam
Q.D. Earl on Mixcrate
"The Problem is....Choice."
:icon_question: :icon_confused: That isn't what's being said in the song??( oh .....I see .... it's not the title
)
I've told these before ---
But all these years passed without my finding a certain song I'd sought called
SOUNDS AT MY DOOR ( I think I asked for it at Aloha Records)
It wasn't until I joined here that I learned the song I was seeking was:
SAN SALVADOR by Azoto ......:icon_mrgreen:
And I always get a kick when remembering a certain young man coming into the record store all eager to buy a song he'd danced to the night before in a club . The song he wanted was:
SHAKE YOUR MOOD RING
What made it so funny to me is I couldn't shake the mental picture of him standing in the middle of the dance floor the night before wildly waving his hand about urged on by this song !! .... :icon_biggrin:....:icon_lol:.....:icon_lol:...

Baby, take me
high upon a hillside
high up where the stallion
meets the sun
We have winners! Jussik and qdearl!
And I agree on Patrice Rushen....Haven't You Heard and Forget-Me-Nots are two great songs. It's a shame that most young ones will remember the music and associate it with Will Smith's - Men In Black or whatever it was called.
Now come on....I know there's more out there....so please add! :icon_lol:
"Ai ai smai senflecs"
Good luck with this one!
Can't say I know that one, VideoSkooter, but here are 2 fairly-easy ones from '76 and '77 that are often thought to be the "correct" song title (though they ain't):
It's Not Over
-and-
Between Dusk & Dawn
. . . and the actual song titles are ???? Bueller ? Bueller ?:icon_lol:
Between Dusk and Dawn would it be: Full Time Thing - by Whirlwind?
"Ai ai smai senflecs"
Good luck with this one!
Would this be a song by Adriano Celentano?
Prisencolinensinainciusol
Let No Man Put Asunder - First Choicedrlove Re: Songs by the wrong title....

HairInTheWind . . .you got both of 'em correct :icon_cool:
:icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol: That's a new one for me!
In the previous thread someone mentioned "Lazy Bum".
I must come-clean and admit that I went to my local record shop and asked for a copy of "Lazy Bones".
It made perfect sense to me???:icon_eek:
I was hearing a record about a girl that didn't want to do anything but dance.
I feel better for having unloaded that lifelong secret.![]()

Stephen, don't feel bad, my husband and I were listening to that song just the other day...and dang, if that doesn't sound like "lazy bum" or "lazy bones"! :icon_mrgreen:
Here's my contribution. Thought the name of the song was, "If You've Never Been In Love" until I accidently purchased the album it was on for $1 at a SF used record store back in the mid-80s. Imagine my surprise when I played the track and there it was! I'd actually heard it played on one of those local exercise shows and fell in love with it. Never knew what the song was until I found it on that album. I literally fell out of my chair when it started playing.
So....what is the correct title?? Anyone know? :icon_mrgreen:

Great Song!
Wow...just can't stump the folks around here!! :icon_biggrin: Yes, that was it. I had heard that on the local exercise show and I could never find the title (no internet disco forums back then!!!). So it was about a year before I stumbled on it accidently. Still one of my all-time favorites!
