In the late 80's and early 90's it was quite common for popular dance songs to be given a house remix even though the artists weren't actually house oriented artists.

What is in your opinion the worst house remix from that period.

If you mean traditional disco records being 'updated', I think the 'Tabasco' remix project on Salsoul (the right title?) was particularly ill-advised and poorly executed. Having said that, I'm struggling to think of any such venture which sounded successful to these ears.

Geez, I still recall the house remix of Fun Fun's "Baila Bolero" on ZYX. That was Hi-NRG-not house.

Forrce, I'm not sure you know what I meant in my thread.

For example Taylor Dayne (not a house artist per se) had a dance pop song called "Tell It To My Heart". After the song had been out for awhile, a house remix was released. It was common during this late 80's-early 90's period to release house mixes of popular dance songs of the day.

I was asking for people's opinions on songs that received house mixes that really didn't need to.
