They are both very good compilations although IMO, Dimitri does drag out some leftfield dross, along with some true gems.
The first CD mentioned, Disco Spectrum 3, is probably more representative of the material that actually received popular underground ( and some mainstream) disco support back in the day. The second, Disco Forever, contains a much more idiosyncratic selection, put together after 25 years of procastination, digging and delving. However, Dimitri is a 'superjock', so I daren't question his taste (c'mon Jussi, hit me baby, hit me  ).
Disco Spectrum is O.K. except that virtually the whole CD consists of also rans. There are three/four blinding tracks, Revelation - Feel It, Baby O - In The Forest, John Davis Orchestra - Bourgie Bourgie and Two Man Sound - Que Tal America. The rest, I could quite happily live without really, especially Clyde Alexander - Gotta Get your Love which is sssssssssssssssooooooooooooooooo amateurish it's unbelievable that so many people have been suckered into parting with big bucks for the 12", and Ramsey & Co - Love Call which (due to Keb Darge owning 1 of 2 known copies in UK) sounds suspiciously to me like a hoax. John Gibbs - Trinidad is so 'Love Boat' tacky too. Urghhh! take it away.
As for the 2nd volume, can't say I have it or have taken any notice of the track listings so can't comment.
