    Help With 2 Giorgio Moroder Albums

    Can anyone tell me about these albums? I found them while blog surfing and i've never seen them before...The 1st one is from 1970 and the 2nd is from 1973...thanks

    This lp was released only in Japan in 1973 by Canyon Y-1017. The single "America, America" sold over 400.000 copies in Japan.

    Never seen these, gotta get them.

    Pietsch is Rainer Pietsch and he's been a huge arranger and producer, working with everyone from Anthony Monn (Orlando Riva Sound and Amanda Lear) and I believe he is the arranger on "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie" by Baccara..

    They're both VERY non disco--I'm sure most Moroder fans know Looky Looky anyway--think early ABBA style european folk pop. Not my bag at all but as a fan they are interesting to have to hear early introductions of the Moroder sound

    He arranged Dino Solera & The Munich Machine's "Classically Elise".

    The original version is indescribably different from the US mixes! It sounds as if they just wiped-out 12 of the 24 tracks, when creating the US version.

    Either way... I love his work!:icon_biggrin:
