Second Hand Vinyl Shops in LA?

My padwan is off to LA and Las Vegas for a spot of R&R. He is keen to find a record shop that sells disco but also early American House at ridiculously cheap prices. Any tips or hints as to where he could go??

I've only been to Amoeba Music on Sunset Boulevard, but there are several other used music stores listed in the Yellow Pages and RecordCollector magazine.
