Disco Électronique
I spinned lots of Italian library music, discoey soundtracks and hard-to-classify mid 70's rhythm tracks amid the more familiar boogie tunes such as "Oh L'Amour" by Giorgio. Here are some titles they danced to:
Ennio Morricone: THE INITIATION - odd machinery sounds, bleeps and wind effects over insistent bongo rhythm
Donadio: NEW SITUATION - a Rock Your Baby / It Should Have Been Me-type shuffler with jazzy brass
Stefano Torossi: OMICIDIO PER VOCAZIONE - cool marimba tune over an angrily buzzing synth
New Banda Black Rio: TOMORROW ( Ray Mang mix) / MAGIA DO PRAZER ( Faze Action mix) A brand NEW 12" Kongas: Anikana-O / LTG Exhange: Corazon-type classic latin disco production, an absolute MUST
Reddy Bobbio: NEUTRAL - A Papa Was A Rolling Stone rip-off with synths
The Black Fire: RUSH - nice flute & piano over latin beats
Don Ray: GOT TO HAVE LOVING - instrumental version
Gil Ventura: ZODIACS/TOMORROW/STAR WARS/I FEEL LOVE - sleazy 9-minute saxed-up medley. Gil also does a good Love In C Minor.
