What are/is the Nude Dimensions-?
Thanks to Graham Start I finally got the first TRAX album ”Watch Out!”. The back cover has a gleaming image of Forsey and Bellotte wearing silver overalls beside a sexy looking motorcycle – the only giveaway this is from 1977 and not 2002 is the moustache on Mr. Bellotte. Musically the lp is equally sleek and flawless, as good as eurodisco gets. The The 14 minute ”Watch Out For The Boogie Man” odyssey is immaculate but the cream track is really BREATHLESS. Anyone seriously digging girl choruses and Munich-style violins will treasure this.
Graham also sent me the ROMANCE album by Simon Soussan. The exotic LOVE SUITE is clearly set past Midnight At The Oasis and has nearly nude bellydancers gyrating around a fire while muscular Nubians beat huge drums at 130 BPM. I also loved Patrick Norman’s PARADISE and I REMEMBER YOU, think Barry Manilow Live In Las Vegas.
In addition I’ve been listening to OPHIS LE SERPENTAIRE by Vincent Gemioni, a Les Baxter-goes-oriental-disco type of cut with a Yma Sumac-type wailing vocalist over thudding c. 101 BPM Fly Robin Fly- kind of beat, and Guy Boyer’s BONGOS AND SOUND.
