it could be an edit, he is famous for them, also I know that the intro and the break of "this time baby" are the same tempo, and structure, so a good place to go back if you're going to extended the song, or edit it. BTW, if you don't own the 12", and are looking for it, be aware that it was released years later with the instrumental version on the flip side. The original 12" does not have the inst. mix on it.
