    Arrow Shooting Break:The Return!

The era of the SUV is ending. A lot of car manufacturers are stopping the development of new models and are dumping the old ones.

The new kid in town is in fact a ghost from the past. The Shooting Break is returning and will be the new hype. Originally concepted in the old days to transport the rich and famous to their beloved hunting parties, now, they will transport you and your families to the mall or to the club.

Mercedes is developing it's first baby in that reborn segment:

    "The ConceptFascination"

Bluetec engines, LED-lights, humidor for cigars, cooler for champagne, it will have all of that! And it's a stunning beauty as well.

The resurgence of the station wagon... Who would have thought? Funny, but in most cases it has similar functionality as an SUV.

Don't see too many of the R class Mercedes wagons, but I am seeing more of the E class, VW and BMW wagons in my travels. As long as they don't bring back the silly fake wood side panels then all is good.

That's good news; I was always a fan of that 'sports estate' genre such as the Lancia Beta HPE & the Honda Accord Aerodeck. Ah yes, a big improvement over those ugly inefficient SUV 4x4 thingys - I never did like them & I certainly won't miss them!:icon_twisted:

I think that was typically American, didn't see that on European cars (I can be wrong).

But...it's the future as many car manufacturers are designing shooting breaks.

    Audi TT

    BMW

    Ferrari

    Renault

    Aston Martin

You are wrong VS, the Morris Minor Traveller estate had wooden bits attached.

This particular little classic has kinda been revamped in the shape of the Mini Clubman recently & I have to say that BMW have done a very good job IMO.
