The NEW Weather Girls... "It's Raining Men"
I call them The Under-The-Weather Girls.![]()
I've seen several appearances on tv recently - last 4 or 5 months - by two women calling themselves the Weather Girls. :icon_eek: Who are they? :icon_confused::icon_confused: Because they certainly are not Marta Wash and Izora Armstead. They've sung "It's Raining Men" and always seem to pass themselves off as the originals. Obviously Martha Wash does not own that name as these two women are performing under that name.

Interesting...
I found this: Weather Girls - It's Raining Men - The Best Of (2004)
Must be something in Germany? No idea, but I'm wondering...? lol
probably just one of those kareoke scenes. I see people on sitcoms pretending to perform popular recorded songs all the time, usually appearing to make fun of both the song and the singer. "My Heart Will Go On" was a popular target.....
I found further info on the web last night and apparently the "new" Weather Girls are Izora Armsteads two daughters.
From Wikipedia...
The current members of the group are sisters Dynelle Rhodes and Ingrid Arthur, who are the daughters of Armstead, who died in 2004. They released a new Weather Girls album titled, Totally Wild in late 2005. It scored an underground club hit with "Wild Thang." Like the original Weather Girls, the duo has proven very successful with its gay male core audience. In 2008, the Weather Girls were listed as featured artists on the song, "Break You" by Ralph Falcon of the bands Murk and Funky Green Dogs. This song spent one week at #1 on the American dance chart in May of 2008
