BV201 is "THE BROTHERS THEME" by THE BROTHERS. Be aware that the 12" version is extended, but goes for pretty big bucks, the entire LP is fantastic and not as expensive. It's produced by Warren Schatz of Vickie Sue Robinson fame, I highly recommend the LP.
BV 204 is another one of my all time favorite underground DISCO songs "TAKE A LITTLE" by LIQUID PLEASURE. as far as I know it is available only as a 7" 45 RPM, MIDLAND RECORDS, it is the DISCO VERSION on the 7". I've seen it on compilation LP's as well, but it's an edited version.
BV 208 does not load.
Thanks discokid, I'll just look at BV208 now :icon_mrgreen:
Ok link is fixed now, mp3 hadn't uploaded to the server :icon_confused:
I should know #8--it is something I have played recently---will try to figure it out.
#209 is:
from Tom Moulton's Disco Mix: (June 1976)
"Sondra Simon & Simon Said's new single is "Mama Can You Meet The 6:15" (Atco). Without a doubt, this is the best effort to date for the girls who used to back up Gloria Gaynor. The sound here has some of the qualities of a Gaynor recording. A 12-inch disco disk of a 6:29 long version is forthcoming."
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Agreed! Unless you're a stone collector freak, I'd say get the LP, over the 12". It's got so many fantastic cuts!
Particularly "Voce Abouso", with vocals by Vicki Sue Robinson & Warren Schatz! The music tracks sound as if Schatz used the same Master Reel from the Samba Soul LP. But the mix is better and the vocals are far superior.
Then there's "Don't Stop Now", and my favorite; "Last Chance To Dance". What a wonderful recording, this LP is!
