    Hi Jussi,

On the old board you mentioned this artist. I got an advert from CDNow stating that the "Tanto Tempo Remix" cd is now available. Tell me, when you were talking about her music did you mean this CD or the original? If you've heard this new one do you also recommend it?

In theory I'd recommend everything connected with either Bebel or the equally sublime Suba. I only have one 12" of Bebel's remixed stuff, though, and while it's perfectly nice I never actually listen to it as the original unremixed cd is so perfect in every sense. You jst put it on and the rest comes naturally.

Thanks, Jussi. I think I'm going to dive in and test the waters. I'll let you know what I think.

The 12" you have by Bebel, has it been out for several years? I could swear I have this lady on something. My filing system is really starting to suck!

My 12" remix of Bebel's Tanto Tiempo is from last year. I don't know if she has anything else out apart from the 12"ers or the actual cd. But with a voice like that one would think she'd be back in the studios sooner or later especially as I've read her concerts were sell-out successes.

Have you tried the Caesare Evora records? She also has some of her uptempo songs out as fab jazzy house tracks, very nicely done. I don't own any as yet and cannot recall the titles, unfortunately.

She has been recently been known for "Sangue De Beirona" & "Carnaval do Sao Vincente".
