Its so interesting how people who make real changes (no pun intended) & get things moving in life are often portrayed as bastards by people who know or claim to know them. JFP, Cerrone & Giorgio Moroder are all portrayed in this light by certain people. This applies not just to disco music but to almost any area of life you care to name including powerful & dynamic historical figures like Napolean & Churchill. It just shows how if you have the power to actually change lives for the better, you are also going to make enemies as well as friends. As someone once said, you cannot please all of the people all of the time (or something like that anyway! I'm feeling in a philosophical mood tonight!)
JFP sounds like one of those real & much-missed 'characters' of the disco era along the lines of Steve Rubell of Studio 54 fame.
...ya gotta beat the street......
