motown quiz [or revenge on NickNack]

this is quite hard you would have to have the temptations 5 c.d box set emperors of soul,nicky you MUST have it,zecca has,maybee others do too.
disc 2 track 7 has the previously unreleased "i got heaven right here on earth" a great motown dancer that its hard to believe it was never issued,recorded 65/66.
that very same backing track was used again by motown some 5 years later as a b.side by a newer motown act nicky has mentioned this act before i think he maybee a fan! what was the name of the act and what was the name of this great record :o

I have about 30 Temps LP/CDs but NOT the "Emperors of Soul" set....Oh bugger

Nice one, Discodisk. I'll stay out of this until you say I can jump in. You've got sharp ears. I played that Temps track a lot of times saying to myself, "I've heard this somewhere", but the lyrics weren't right, you know? Plus, the 'newer' act has the track sweetened with more orchestration.

Ok, you two Motown Quiz Masters....

I would guess it must be something by Undisputed Truth; hence, the "Smiling Faces" comment.

The Temps & Undisputed Truth were both produced by Norman Whitfield...so that would make sense. Right???

i knew you were gonna come in and start to crack this one yes it is the undisputed truth so you are half right in fact you are 3/4 right but you arnt realising it, but sometimes you are like that!

Don't want to leave Marky hangin' so yes, Undisputed Truth singing "You Got The Love I Need" is done over the backing track for The Temps original "I Got Heaven... ".
