Bonnie Tyler & Philip Bailey. (Bonnie doing the male bits & Phil doing the female bits!)
OK, I'm no fan of the vocal stylings of Denis & Denyse LePage--aka LIME
To me they were godawful...the songs were catchy and full of hooks--BUT THE VOCALS SUCKED!!!!!!!!!! :icon_twisted::icon_twisted::icon_twisted:
So I propose we select a new pair of singers to re-record the vocals and make LIME safe for human ears... I've put little to no thought into this...but I'll start by proposing
JOE COCKER & DENIECE WILLIAMS...
(throaty growl + piercing soprano)
Your ideas??????![]()
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Bonnie Tyler & Philip Bailey. (Bonnie doing the male bits & Phil doing the female bits!)
...ya gotta beat the street......
Good idea--is that like Kibbles 'n Bits???? :icon_redface::icon_rolleyes::icon_razz:
What about Bryan Adams & Mariah Carey?![]()
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Michael Bolton and Michael Jackson...(laToya would
do any touring dates though)
It's an American dog food company....sorry I forget we grew up on different continents. :icon_redface::icon_rolleyes::icon_exclaim:
And since Denyse sounds like a yippie Chihuahua with a lit firecracker up her butt or "bit"--[No I never get tired of using that one!!! :icon_razz::icon_razz::icon_razz:]--- maybe the dog food analogy is apt.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
...ya gotta beat the street......
A cat in HEAT...I heard that!!!! I've seen people stick Q-Tips up their cat's naughty bits to massage the "heat" away....at least that's what they said they were doing!!!![]()
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Was the q-tip ever seen again?:icon_confused::icon_lol:
...ya gotta beat the street......
hmmm...no, probably sucked into the vortex of unspeakable cat scratch fever passion!!! :icon_razz: OK, enuf with the cat!!!
I want more duo ideas!!!
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Rod Stewart & Stacey Lattisaw?:icon_confused:
...ya gotta beat the street......
TOM WAITS + YMA SUMAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
A posthumous one - Divine & Minnie Riperton.:icon_confused:![]()
...ya gotta beat the street......
Teddy Pendergrass and Carrie Lucas![]()
Find them and destroy them!
Michael McDonald & Kelly Marie.:icon_razz:
...ya gotta beat the street......
It's funny you should bring this up because I was listening to Lime 3 today. Remember how we used to get people coming here and asking "I'm trying to find out the name of this group from the 80s, I can't remember any of their song titles or lyrics, but they had these really distinctive voices that was almost like screaming..."
...and we'd quickly all chime in with "Must be Lime!"
Anyway, my suggestion would be Lemmy from Motorhead and Mariah Carey.
OK my combo is Amanda Lear + Jimmy Somerville.

Oh my Mark! When I saw the subject line for this thread you created, I immediate thought, "Why?????" :icon_lol: However, as I read on, I could not start laughing.
And who could you ever be talking about regarding the cat and the Q-Tip???Hey, you try sleeping with a cat in heat howling away!BTW, you forgot the Q-Tip was attached to a stretched out coat hanger wire in case of germs!! :icon_lol::icon_lol:
Kim Carnes and Cheryl Lynn
or
Rod Stewart and Cheryl Lynn
One thing I find very interesting about Lime is that people seem to either love them or loathe them, with there being no middle ground whatsoever.
As bad as those vocals are, they sound like nobody else, and their fans seem to really like them. You can't deny that the synth riffs and sequences are very catchy.
I love putting on something like "Babe, We're Gonna Love Tonight" and watching people's reactions, especially when Denyse starts. :) One friend of mine stood frozen in horror, finally managing to stammer our "My God.... she's horrible!"
Barry Manilow and Marilyn Manson![]()
Biz Marky & Shakira
Now THAT would make Denis & Denyse LePage sound like Frank & Nancy Sinatra.
