Hello. :icon_razz:
Here's a couple of choices.
Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band - I'll Play The Fool
CARRIE LUCAS - I Gotta Keep Dancin'
I have been trying to find out what this song's name is for a while. The only lyrics I know are:
Keep on dancing
Keep right on dancing
Just keep on dancing
It is a female singer, who kinda sounds like Kiki Dee (I am 99.9% positive it is not her though). She may be black or white, I am not sure, I would imagine she is black though.
The song has been in numerous things including:
Movies:
Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Airplane II: The Sequel
TV:
Rocko's Modern Life - "Born To Spawn"
VH1's I love the 80's 3-D - 1983 (it was in the background, they did not ID it)
I finally got a sample, it should be attached as a zip file, sorry about that, couldn't figure out how to just get the audio file. It is just a small sample from Rocko's Modern Life, so ignore the dialog.
Thanks for any help.

Hello. :icon_razz:
Here's a couple of choices.
Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band - I'll Play The Fool
CARRIE LUCAS - I Gotta Keep Dancin'
thanks for the try, but it's neither of those.
It is more similar to the 2nd clip, style wise. I will try to get a sample of it.
How about this one?
Gary's Gang - Keep On Dancin'
thats not it either, thanks again for the attempt, I am trying to get a sound clip of it, it is just going slow.
I did finally get a clip added and edited it in my original post, hopefully this will help
Aha!
This is Do The Boogaloo by Quango & Sparky.
It is really library music. That is, film and television pay a fee to use this in their projects. Especially when they needed a "disco type" song.
But there is an lp and here is some information from the discomusic.com record vault.
Quango and Sparky Disco (LP) Disco Music.com
It was also used in an episode of the television show Taxi.
Here is that clip

Man, that clip made me laugh... How I used to love watching Taxi back in the day.

Needlefingers you are my hero! I had suspected that it was a library song, just because lyrics weren't online very easily, and it was always used in the situation where people just needed disco, and probably didn't want to have to pay all the money for Funkytown.
Thank you for the compliment.
But I must share it with KoolChris, and the other members, who contributed to that past thread.
And to jimmy m who posted it in the record vault.
Come back and "boogaloo" with us again.
Here's the Quango and Sparky record complete with trackisting and photos as submitted by Jimmy M:
