Hi nrg/Euro night in manchester uk

Hi all,just thought id let all hi nrg/Euro fans of a special evening that will be held at cruise 101 in the gay village in manchester on sunday the 24th of august 08.

The night will be a tribute to the late great les cokell,lots of nrg faves from the 80s plus the brand new remix single from new Baccara will make its debut

It was fun on Sunday night dancing to the likes of Eartha Kitt's 'This Is My Life' & Sparks' 'Music That You Can Dance To' - brought back memories of The Archway.:icon_razz:

Yes it was a good night indeed,there was a power outage that affected the whole club,which was fixed after about 20 mins,but it didnt seem to spoil peoples night too much,and cruz 101 have already said that they would like to repeat the evening in the future!!!

ere... I hope you played 'The Break' by katmandu. which was our Renees 'signature tune from the Mineshaft days. and of course 'you drive me crazy' by The Reflectors - which had him looking everso 'butch' in army drag on the cover.

it was a great night just a shame that there wasn't more people there i was expecting it to be packed but it seems like a lot of people have moved away from this type of music i was down there all night only leaving to see lonnie gordon upstairs oh and to go for the odd cig lol
