Re Lime there was a rumour for years that Denis and Denyse were the same person and the female vocal was Denis's voice altered by technical wizardry.

Ha, ha, ha :-) That would be funny if it's true. However, I have a photo of the two and it's definitely a man and woman. If I have time to find and scan it, I'll throw it up here.

Gazebo, aka M. Giombini, is still active in the music biz today. I heard he was producing "new age music" some time ago. I also heard he sung in a Italo-disco night held in Holland.

    Lime-the real artists..

I remember going into a local record store that specialized in import and dance music here in Miami in the late 80's. The owner used to have a photo of too older people in their mid-to late 40's. These were the real "Lime". The people you saw "live" in clubs were models, not the real Lime, according to the store owner....

Now that is something interesting :o If it were true it wouldn't be the first time I hear this happening: Milli Vanilli, Fun Fun etc etc

It would be cool to see a picture of the supposed Lime singers.

I wonder what happened to Denyse since in last year's new LIME album I could only hear Denis's voice and some other chicks. BTW his voice doesn't sound very good nowadays.

Hiring people to perform as a studio act has been widely done. Most famously the Monkees, who did sing but couldn't play any instruments when they first started. "Bionic Boogie" toured during the 70s, but the live performers had nothing to do with the studio product. As for Milli Vanilli... it was nothing new. Many of Frank Farian's productions actually had him doing some vocals, but he hired others to "perform" them.

The fact that so many people suddenly couldn't stand MV when they found out the truth simply proves the point that they were buying into the image and not the music.

FWIW, I think Denis LePage was in the music biz from the early 70s or even earlier, so it's quite plausible that he was in his 40s by the late 80s.

Claudja Barry got married to Keith Forsey. They have a son who is now in the music business, based in Los Angeles.

Sheila ( of b Devotion fame for those who do not know her illustrious career in euro pop music from the 60's onwards) is still active, with a new concert dvd out in France, as is Amanda Lear who just performed live in Paris.

Here's information of Gazebo (Paul Mazzolini)

    Gazebo

As I have heard, he still performs some live gigs now and then.

Pierluigi Giombini is still active doing material for the project 'Web'.

In my opinion 'Lovin' times' and 'Like an angel' are very good titles.

    Ken Laszlo

Ken Laszlo has a huge hit now in 2003.

The song is called INSIDE MY MUSIC and is released on MEDIA RECORDS, Italy.

The last ten years he had a contract with SAIFAM, Italy and released a lot of nice italo dance songs like WHATEVER LOVE, E-MAIL BOX and more produced by Mauro Farina ( www.saifam.com ).

    Where are they now

-Denis and Denyse Lepage are two different people. They rarely, if ever, performed as Lime. Two travelling members of the act were called Mitch and Melanie and they also released a 12" on Oak Lawn Records of Texas.

Sorry SSon..Denis and Denyse were husband and wife..

Yep-Denis and Denise Lepage were husband and wife and they never did the vocals on the Lime-hits. Joy Dorris was the girl with the high voice and the male vocals were done by Chris Marsh. The Lepages were the writers, composers and instrumentalists. In the 90's Lime consisted of another vocalist, Jeff Streger with diffrent girl singers. Denis Lepage, as you all know did many instrumentals before Lime, like Kat Mandu, Hot Wax and Mother F. The couple doesn't perform anymore but is still active in the music-biz.

Denis Lepage is now 50 or something.

. . . and Donnie & Marie Osmond never sang on their recordings - the vocals were supplied by Joe Dallesandro and Candy Darling . . .

What is this??? Some kind of revisionist history???? Have the LePage's been reading our snarky posts????

Don't spoil all my Denis & Denyse jokes by telling me they never sang that ****. I will not be silenced.

The last I heard of Roni Griffith was that she had gone born-again and left the industry.....this would have been when she was still with Vanguard.

    Where is STOP

I wonder where STOP (who made the title "REndezvous") are today, or what they are doing today. I don't know if it was one person or a group.

    Hi there!

Lime are actually or were actually a four piece band of which the husband and wife team were a part, they had an album out a few years ago which if you go to amazon.co.uk you can find its title.
