I suspect the controversy and ban are the result of the fallout remaining over the Janet Jackson superbowl flash. But I sure remember the rapper Lil' Kim being allowed to appear on an awards show with one of her knockers swingin'...just the nipple was covered. Diana Ross even stroked it.

Sandra: not only that, but why do they apply the rules so unevenly? Remember when Lil Kim appeared at an awards show with one of hers swingin' and Diana Ross touched it? And I've seen several sitcoms where women almost have theirs completely exposed. But when Janet Jackson popped at the Super Bowl all heck broke loose.
