V-rated 18+
Many moons ago I used to drive some peeps here crazy with stuff like this...
And 2day my dear wife said to me: "Go for it, Campman! Batman is back and now it's your turn!". Now, I never obey my wife but in this case....

Boodi, for you baby:
Benelux: "Switch"
Luv: "U.O.ME-Waldolala"

BRAVO Johan BRAVO!!!!!!
What I love about these is that in every instance the performers look EXACTLY the way their music sounds — Spago being the perfect example.
Another thing that cracks me up is that in most cases if you watch these for about 20 seconds you've basically seen and heard the whole song — some of these feel painfully long at three minutes.
Although I must say that Emly Starr girl gets extra credit. Was the director intentionally placing her in perilous situations in the hope that she'd get carried away by the waves or killed in a sandstorm?!? She's one accident away from staring in a snuff film!
Goodness me!!!
How funny seeing what Benelux and Nancy look like. I never knew, what I do know is that it was a serious record that we were all into in our school (vocal and flutey instrumental). So weird hearing it all these years on......so yes I shall go and dig that one out from under the stairs too!
Marianne Rosenberg: "Er Gehört zu mir"
Granted, as an American, I'd only discovered it in it's 1988 Reincarnation.
(And I've absolutely no idea what she's singing about...)
But, along with "Eins, zwei, drei (Ich hab' gedacht es ist vorbei)", it's yet another record that sends me into a state of total twirl!
Thank God I played a very popular Leather-Disco, in a major tourist-town.
The German boys would go nutswhen I played these during season.

Marianne Rosenberg is the number 1 gay icon in Germany. For the German gay audience, her songs like "Ich Bin Wie Du (I Am Just Like You)" and "Er Gehört Zu Mir (He's Mine)" are anthems.
Just like THE German camp band Dschingis Khan. You all know the hits "Dschinghis Khan" and "Moskau" but this is my favourite:

I found this video a while ago. I love this song, and wasn't quite sure how to share it on the forum. This thread seems to be as appropriate as anywhere:
Ponch's Disco!
If the music isn't campy enough for this thread, the VIDEO sure is!!! :icon_biggrin:
Remmy, nope, this is in fact an ancient Swiss folktune, reworked by Belgian composer Terry Rendall (nickname for Louis Van Rymenant from the notorious Belgian band The Jokers, who released albums like "Go Discotheque" and "Beat On Christmas" (1965)) and it was recorded by the Dutch band The Electronica's.
This tune is still played on every wedding party, where the grannies go beserk on it!

Interesting info VS ! thanks!
A couple of things ....that video ... how odd that Electronica is apparently standing there performing live ....yet the cameras choose to focus on people recycling balloons !!! :icon_eek: ( now that's lack of stage presence!! :icon_razz:)
Secondly, during my short DJ stint in Germany ... I had to go buy this song and it had a mandatory presence in my record box ...
To this day when I come across my copy I ask myself ...." what the &*%$ was that all about !!!???" :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

Baby, take me
high upon a hillside
high up where the stallion
meets the sun
Of course British band The Tweets recorded this also as "The Birdie Song" and it went to numero 2 in their charts.
And, you Americans are ashamed of Disco Duck????? :icon_mrgreen:
But, more important, and on a very serious note: If you visit Europe and this tune is played, you are legally obliged to know da moves!
