    MEMBERS M.I.A.....

What's happened to the Brazilians, Zeca & Blax???? I guess this site is very cyclical...people post their brains out...then get bored or distracted by,... what....their lives?????!!!! and disappear.

Well, some like Maarten and Leanmean come back after long absences. Some just disappear into cyberland!!!!! I don't know about you folks, but I even kinda miss our old trolls. Hey, they got us all riled up....we rallied the troops and fought the good fight...for Truth, Justice and the American Way!!! Well that's the way I saw it.

OK, "everything MUST CHANGE...nothing, nothing stays the same." Get the picture? "Yes" we see.

I was wondering the same. I thought they might at least pop in to the 'funk' or 'jazz' forums but haven't seem them there, either. :o

Whatever happened to Dance Man? He used to post quite often.

I think he did post on the recent Robbie Leslie thread, but that was the first time in a long time.

I "talked" to Zeca about some Starpoint and Dayton a while back - about a month ago in the playlist forum (I think)
    haven't seen him since though.

Yeah, Danceman is another who's vanished. My ole pal, Jeff has not posted in a long time either. He thinks it's all been said before, I guess.

Well then, quelle surprise, as you would say, Marky! Guess who?!!

I checked in today just to see what you might have posted about last night's American Idol, and found your post. Thanks for thinking of me! :D

Well I sometimes email Danceman and around early January he said he isn't going to frequent the disco forums any longer for time reasons. So I guess we won't hear from him for a while.

I myself haven't been posting much lately because I've been busy with other things such as doing a video trade for soul/funk/disco videos from a bloke in Italy (there's a LOT I need to copy him), I've lately been focussed on my vintage video recorder collection and videotapes and working on my website and my Philips VCR Yahoo group, and I simply have run out of things to talk about in the forum. But I'll bounce back soon with a bunch of disco/funk topics :D .

Now I myself wonder what happened to Blaxman, he really lightened things up in the forum with his jokes and good sense of humour, he's a top bloke :D !

With my infrequent posting at this message board, I'm usually also on this list. Lately I've been mainly looking at various death metal websites, but I won't post at any message boards these sites might have. I know I wouldn't be welcome at any of them. Also, I'm keeping my promise of not posting at any message board other than this one.

I only post at this site as I'm not a big internet fan generally (I like the 'vibe' here!) but I find it takes up so much time, so I try to limit the amount of times I visit. You can have too much of a good thing! (who sang that?!)

And what happened to dear ol' Ricardo?

I still receive mails from DanceMan from time to time. Mostly gay jokes sent to his whole list of contacts, I presume. It was funny at the beginning, but then time passed and, well, you know...

One problem with forums is that they take much more time than other sites to browse. There's always so many posts and new threads. And if you don't have a DMS/cable 24/7 connection...

    Look who's back...

Hey Marky, I miss U2. Been very very very very busy working. Our friend BLAXMAN is fine, his dad is recovering from a serious surgery and he's taking care of him, but we talk everyday on the phone and I visited him last sunday. We talked about, you know... MUSIC!

When I get back home from work the last thing I want to see is a computer. But after a few weeks I think everything's going back to normal, so I'll be back (bad news, eh?)

While you europeans and north-americans are sinking in the snow, we're melting under the sun here, We're on our summer, and this summer is the hottest in almost 20 years. I have 2 old ventilators making some noise here in my bedroom and they're not enough to fight this HEAT. But I still prefer this HEAT to the coldness of your winter.

    See ya soon,

    zeca azevedo, still missing!

Hey Nicky. I've kinda been here. From time to time I come to read a quick post or two. God I hate those pop ups :o
Anyway, I'm engaging in banter on current events on the net with some of my political acquaintances :D
Yes, I will do 'Best from Artist' again. I figured the topic needed a rest for the holidays but now is a good time to do it again.

Speaking of MIA, where are the other two women of this board, Lean and Boodika. By the way, thanks for the greeting Delight.

I'm sorry if I'm bringing some bad news here,

but after fighting to stay alive since last november, Blaxman's dad passed away today, sunday. I've heard the news from his wife, Leticia, who talked to me by the phone this evening. I was on Blax's home yesterday night and he was fine - we even heard some funky records. I'll try to talk to my friend as soon as I can. I hope he gets well as soon as he can to share his usual good humour with us here on the FORUM.

I don't know if this is the right place to talk about such personal affairs, but I know how much our friend BLAX likes to be a part of this little community.

Wow... that's pretty bad, Zeca. Please send our friend Blax my "pesame" (don't know how to say it in English) and let him know I hope he is, well, as good as a person can amount to be in this situation.
I'm sure many people here feel the same way about this... Probably they can say in better words than me today.

    Zeca,

Please pass on to Blax and his family my condolences on the passing of his dad. I've been there and know it's not an easy thing.

I completely empathise with Blax as my mum passed away 5 years ago & its a long process coming to terms with something so unpleasant. Its a cliche, but time really is a great healer.
