    Everyday People

A few months back we mentioned this group and talked about their song, "I Like What I Like". If anyone out there has the 'original' lp, you know, the one with the tribal intro to this song, would you please share the title and label with me?

Mine was appropriated and I'd like to try and get that record back.

Thanks, and I should mention that the CD out there on Unidisc does not have the version I'm looking for. Already bought it and returned it :x .

NickNack , I don’t have the LP, only a promo 7” , part 2 is the ‘Tribal’ drums version with chants, it is 2:25 minutes long, the label says ‘edited from the LP –PAS -6021’ so the LP version may be longer, this copy is on the ‘Paramount’ label released on ’72, I first heard this cut many years ago on tape and was never able to get it until about a year ago when I won this 7” copy on EBAY, it is an amazing display of hard hitting drums and pure dance floor energy, this is the kind of early ‘underground’ sound that I can never get enough of. I hope this info helps in your search.

Thanks, guys. Mixmachine, that label info is what I needed. I've seen the lp reissued but it's on Red Coach and doesn't contain "I Like What I Like". On the original lp, the tribal intro ran a good 2 minutes and then the song kicked in.

Marky, I'll let you know how it goes...
