A show I watch practically everyday. She was a gem and her life story is one to be admired.
Sixty minutes is nothing special (but it\'s all the world to me)

I love how they still show Goilden Girls on US telly. When I was in San Francisco last year I had to get my fix of Golden Girls every morning before I left my hotel room! I've got the first 3 seasons on DVD but for some annoying reason in Europe they aren't going to release the remaining 4!:icon_evil: Picture this, Sicily 1934....may Ms.Getty RIP in that great Shady Pines rest home in the sky...:icon_cry:
...ya gotta beat the street......
Anybody remember "The Golden Palace"? They should have ended "Golden Girls" and let it go at that.
Funny you should mention that because....before The Golden Girls, Bea Arthur had a TV show called Amamda's, which was based on Fawlty Towers. Alas, it only lasted a few episodes. I guess her loss was our gain.
LIfetime Television is having a Golden Girls marathon starting at noon today, in tribute to Estelle Getty.
And thank you SD for letting us know that this show crossed over the Atlantic.
Hi SD
They show 2 episodes of Golden Girls is on Living every Sat & Sun morning at 9am (10am on Living+1). Perfect hangover TV :-)

And I should have thanked PhyllisHyman for not only the topic, but also is from GB (sorry, I didn't notice that earlier).
Look at the three of us discussing The Golden Girls.
