This sounds very much like 'Baby Baba Boogie' by Gap Band, one of my all-time fave disco tracks from '79.:icon_razz:
WKTU, the disco station in New York, played this track sometime in 1979. I remember the year because that year for my birthday, my parents bought me a "box" and my cousin gave me a mixtape.
On that mixtape was one song that started out with female vocals...
"Come on and boogie with me!" then a male vocal echoed "BOOGIE" with the females going "Come on and boogie, come on and boogie with me" pretty fast.
On that track the females also went "Dance...dance! dance! dance!" (the latter three were going up in terms of vocals)
Aside from that it was mainly an instrumental along with "breakbeats" in the middle.
You guys were great figuring out Giorgio Moroder. Can anyone help with this??
