It was played in New York on WKTU, 98.7 Kiss during the early 80's (I'll guess to say 1982 or 83). It had that synth-pop Euro sound of the 80's and sounded like M with "Pop Muzik". Only difference..the vocals sounded like a group.....
I think these are part of the lyrics...

I wanna hold you..I wanna love you...all night long (with some lady screaming) all night long.
It had some part that went "Shooby doo!" and faded out...but came in a couple of times.
