    Yetta,

Well, you stumped me. They all sound familiar...BUT I can't place them.

#1) should definitely be a "Call Me" song (It's Saturday night and you're all alone/you're watching TV/....so call me, call me, cause I'm free") Female vocal

#2) "I open my eyes and there you were/what a surprise/ you came from nowhere, nowhere) Female vocal

#3) thought this was gonna be "Looking At Midnight "by Imagination--music is a rip-off of that--but lyrics are different ("you're getting to the heart of me/you're gonna be a part of me") male vocal

#3) Italo synth-type (probably the instrumental of something that sounds VERY familiar). But ...DUH.

Yes, I had nothing to contribute. But I posted anyway.

    Mark,
I can't believe that you're stumped. I thought for sure you'd get at least one.

Track 2: What a great song - I know the voice but I can't place it, great arrangement too.

Track 3: I thought it was Imagination too until i heard the vocal. He sounds a whole lot like Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys. Is there such a thing as a Leee John/Ashley Ingram/Neil Tennant collaboration. The recording certainly pre-dates the other Pet Shop boys stuff.

    Thanks Disco 1999,
I was getting disheartened for a moment. Yesterday's posting of the Four series I got all four correct replies within a couple of hours. That completes another play list . I see the end in sight for this memorial project.

That # 2 track is driving me nuts. It's been in my head all day. I mean, damn, I should know who this is --- this was a popular piece.

    Nicknack,
I know what you mean both mystery song # 2 and # 1 were huge here in Toronto and I for the life of me can't remember the details of either one. Anyone else out there at discomusic.com who can help end Nicknack's and mine misery.

    Yetta,

    Re: Number 2:

I'm still reorganizing my record collection and stumbled on to the song that was driving us all a little nuts. It's none other than Janice McClain: "Giving My Love". The 12" was out in 1983 on a small label from Los Angeles called Mon-Tab. Marky had the lyrics, which was amazing to remember that much and still be stumped.

Anyway, hope this brings you one step closer to project completion.

    Nicknack,
thanks, that knocks off another one from the list. I think there are 18 left that no-one could identify, which truly is amazing. I think I must of posted at least eighty inquiries here and the response has been spectacular. I'd like to thank everyone who help me with this memorial project once again. I will be presenting all the cds to Wally's sister next month on the aniversary of his death.
