Sometimes I feel Im the only one that likes this song. Couldnt find it anywhere, cant find it on cd. So I went to ebay, bought a vinyl copy for ten bucks, and posted it on youtube. Broke it up into three mini parts, 1.) Disco Intro Song, 2.) Electronic break, 3.) Jazz finale and song.
If you juggle all three mini posts this song can be quite fun!

disc jockey from the mid 70s to late 80s, and got free booze for it.
It was sadly overlooked when it was released by most DJ's. It is a fantastic piece of music, well structured, with opposing musical elements, the masculine male working on a chain gang bridge, juxtaposed with the glorious female chorus, that come together magnificently. And those breaks, organ and piano solos, that just build and build to a wonderful climax, absolutely incredible!!
This song did well in the clubs here in L.A. I still run into the 12" while vinyl hunting around town. But I must say it's not in my regular rotation of music nowa days. I will bring it back out and give it another try. In fact, thanks for the reminder on this song dancer5612004, I can include it in a set this saturday for some Hustlers who should be thrilled to hear it on the big system.:icon_biggrin: Keeping the Disco alive here in L.A!!!
Disco Lives in L.A!!!
I always liked "Workin"'& Slavin' (I Need Love)"....I always found it similar in production to The Ring's equally extravagant "Savage Lover."
Rich, sumptuous, slightly over-the-top production with macho men and girly girls sharing vocals and BIG BIG overpowering SOUND!!!!
[afterthought: I pulled these records and played them last night....only wanna delete one word from my description and that word is "slightly".........I take that that word back. It's VERY OVER-THE-TOP!!!]

"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
I liked the album as soon as I got it, but for the B side, namely: "Climb / Rushin' To Meet You". As Marky pointed out, Very powerful, rich, sumptuous, slightly over-the-top production with macho men and girly girls sharing vocals, exactly what I like about it.
The Ring: another crazy piece of production. I bought it for "Savage Lover", but I listen to it now for "Ole El Toro", the epitome of over the top. This is one track I really love, maybe despite what it has in common with Peter Brown's "Love in our hearts" : a kind of unsettling pace that you can't really dance to ("Ole" starts and stops all the time; "Love" has that off-beat handclapping), but that makes you want to move anyway... Don't know if this makes sense...
The "Disco Love Bite" album by the Tee Cees is a similar great LP. I'm personally a big fan of "The Machine": cheese mixed with hardcore guitar riffs. An excellent mix that really works...
...Boogie Boogie Boogie Boogaaaaaay.....
