Yetta,
I may be wrong but track#4 sounds to me like the instrumental version of Doctor's Cat - Feel the drive.
Don't know if this Italo track from '83 was released or imported in the US.
Here are the next four that are on the Wally masters.
1. instrumental recorder at Stages on Feb 15, 1981
2. female vocalist possible title "I Feel Your Love", I know this
but just can't remember artist or title. Recorded at Stages
on Oct 3, 1981
3. male group possible title "Do It" recorded at Stages on Oct
3, 1981
4. instrumental recorded at Stages on Oct 15, 1983
you can hear these samples at my home page:

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

DJ-Pir,
Thanks, I just downloaded the vocal version and you are right.

#1 is "Dance, It's My Life" by Midnight Powers
#3 is "Disco Circus" by Martin Circus
#2 sounds like a Boris Midney production that I'm forgetting, like maybe a Masquerade cut. I have to check.

Number 2 sounds a little bit like something Herb Albert could have done in his "Rise" period. There's even a bit of trumpet in there.
#2 - Boris Midney, yes. Maquerade, no. It's "Living Up to Love" by Double Discovery. Wally's using the last 4 and a half minutes or so of the song which is why the title isn't in your sample. But they do repeat 'I feel your love' in this section.
Oh, yeah, that guy talking about 'the monster' or something, that's also Wally. It's not in the song.

#2 is "Living Up To Love" by Companion (Boris Midney) in some bootleg mix thing, I think. So Nicky, you were right!!!
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Interesting. I've heard that #4 cut and never knew what it was. "Feel The Drive" by Doctor's Cat!!!! You learn things here everyday!!!
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."

I know that man's 4/4 sound anywhere. I almost said 'no' because of those cowbells but that bassdrum creeping into the midrange is a Midney trademark.

Oh, one more point. I think "Living Up To Love" was by Companion...the Double Discovery tune was "Can He Find Another One"...I think. Both are really Boris Midney, though. Just his little trick of using fake group names. What, "Boris Midney" doesn't sound like a hitmaker????
Anything to keep us on our toes, right? Now which fake-group was this? USA/European Connection? Caress? Beautiful Bend? Festival? Double Discovery? Masquerade? Companion? Festival? Duh :P
Thanks to all:
That completes two more play lists. Nick Nack that monster thing in the song was an overlay by Wally. It's the beginning of "One Step Beyond by Madness". You guys are truly amazing

You're correct on all counts. I just looked at my Companion lp and sure enough, "Living Up to Love" is there. On the Midney "Anthology" CD they credit the song to Double Discovery. Think they got their studio projects turned around. :roll:Originally Written by markydefad
