Hmmm, thanks for that info. The ATC cd I've got is the older version of a Greatest Hits:

Amazon.com: More, More, More: The Best of the Andrea True Connection: The Andrea True Connection: Music

which apparently contains the entire More, More, More album with original track lengths. Happy to know that.

buying a CD and finding out it had those chopped up versions of the songs I wanted would really make me feel ripped off (which is why I usually avoid greatest hits collections whenever I can). It also makes me angry that some CDs don't have the times listed for the songs on the outside case. And how about in the "olden" days when some albums were released and didn't have the titles of the songs listed on the outside cover AT ALL?

It's about $ 28.00 if you buy it in Japan, the same price as the two Three Degrees Ariola albums produced by Giorgio.

    Nice profit, Amazon !

I consider the "More More More" and "Starcruiser" albums to be his high points but the Bionic Boogie albums are not far behind. I also like the album he did with Gloria Gaynor. Only his "Hardware" project hasn't made an impression on me yet. I'm sure he would have developed into one of the greatest producers ever, if he'd stuck around.
A Bionic Boogie greatest/best of collection was being planned by Universal in the US about five years ago and it was never released. I got a pre-release CD of it and naturally, it had a skip on one of the tracks !

I fully agree with you Mr. Ree - I loved the Gregg Diamond/George McCrae expirement, eespecially "Love In Motion" which is to me, a masterpiece. I'd flip your choices: to me the Bionic Boogie debut album ranks in my top five albums ever - everything about it is just amazing.

To me, he ranks in the top ten easily amongst disco's greatest producers. While doing A&R in NY myself, I had the opportunity to meet his brother Godfrey, who engineered many of the albums. I shook his hand and let him know that his brother to me, was one of the all time greats. The smile on his face told you how happy he was to hear such a comment a decade after Gregg's passing.

But as for waiting for so many classic disco albums to be released on CD, I gave up on that ages ago and instead concentrated on getting the vinyl albums and making copies and compilations of my favorites, using my USB turntable and computer. I have, in fact, seen several of my favorite disco albums on CD (most recently Giorgio Moroder's "Knights in White Satin" and the Ritchie Family's "Brazil") but they are always released on tiny little independent record labels that are here today and gone tomorrow....and they're not always listed on the internet, either. It sure would have been a good idea if some smart record company had released a lot of classic titles before the recession hit, because I doubt if many companies will take the chance now.
I would check the UK and German sites, because Nights In White Satin is available on Castle and Repertoire Records respectively and you can still find them.
