Ok I found where I had heard the other version, it's actually also on Sounds Like 54 and it's 3:48 long and definitely remixed and even maybe reperformed from the youtube version. All other question still need to be answered :)))))
Hey guys, I can't find on which great disco compilation, but I had heard LOve Is Just A Heartbeat Away and I love it. Don't know who sings that version. Then thanks to Gloria's Anybody Wanna Party video on youtube I saw a link to her Love Is Just A Heartbeat Away as 12", and I thought, wait, I know that song.
YouTube - Gloria Gaynor - Love Is Just A Heartbeat Away (1979)
But it wasn't sung by her, I?m pretty sure. And it's definitely not Loose Change's version

So who else did that song?
Also some people on youtube noted that Gloria's uses the same backing track or melody as Vicki Sue Robinson's Night Time Fantasy, which I also really liked as a single version on another great compilation (Original Disco Selection, cheap but introduced me to SO MANY classics I had no idea about), then on Sounds Like 54 I heard the 12" version and was BLOWN AWAY!! They also noted they are both from this Nocturna movie.
What's the story?

I just listened to the short version I have that is credited to Loose Change on Sounds Like 54 and it sounds like Gloria Gaynor singing. Whoever has this compilation can confirm this? Is it possible they made such a typo? ;)
From the above YouTube examples I much prefer the funkiness of the Loose Change version.
I think the youtube of Gloria is bad quality, hearing on the hifi from the 54 cd makes it sound like another song, that's why I thought it was a different singer and music to begin with.
The original version of «Love is just a heartbeat away» is on the Nocturna soundtrack (MCA, double lp set, 53 min., 1979) with «Nightime fantasy» and two Moment of truth songs. Its original length is 7:12.
The film trailer:
Nocturna: "Love is Just a Heartbeat Away (Nocturna's Theme)": gloria gaynor: (1979) "From Transylvania to Manhattan...She'll Get Under Your Skin!" - Truveo Video Search
The Moment of Truth songs:
YouTube - Nocturna-Moment of Truth does "Hopelessly in Love with You"
YouTube - Nocturna-Moment of Truth does "Love at First Sight"
«Love is just a heartbeat away» was remixed twice: in a synth-pop way in 1985 and in a techno-house way in 1995, both sets being tired and unimaginative.
The compilation Sounds like 54 is not a very good one because many songs have lost at least 30 seconds in the process («When you're young and in love» by Ralph Carter, «Nightime fantasy» by Vicki Sue Robinson, Tom Moulton's «I don't need no music», «Put yourself in my place», «Small circle of friends» and Loose Change's three tracks).
Loose Change covered «Love is just a heartbeat away» after Gaynor, at the end of 1979 (5:55, on their self-titled album).
