Seriously, this is getting spooky if not even you guys can't recognize this song. I would have thought I get the answer immediately after posting my question here.

Hi.
I would need help identifying the name of this song. It's been a mystery to me for years now, regardless all my efforts to find out the name. So you may guess I'm getting quite frustrated by now. :icon_sad:
Here's a 38sec sample of it:

For some reason it's been extremely difficult to be found.
It sounds like some 70's instumental soul track, but I couldn't find anything while searching music related to this genre.
I only know it was played in Mars Attacks! movie, at the beginning of the scene where Byron Williams' Las Vegas casino was shown for the first time. Actually I made a thread at IMDB many years ago, asking the same question, but to no avail.
I've also heard it used in some old Cartoon Network ad. But haven't heard it played anywhere else, although I constantly listen to GrooveFM, local radio channel that plays disco music only.
I've also tried to check through various kind of disco/soul/groove CD's by listening sample tracks on Amazon.com, but without further success.
All in all, I'm desperate to identify this song and your help would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.

The soundtrack is missing some tunes:
Rupert Holmes - Escape (The Pina Colada Song)
Elisabeth Troy-Antwi - Headstrong
A track called 'Champagne Fanfare' (written by George cates)
The Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive
And 'I'm Casting My Lasso Towards The Sky' by Slim Whitman
Don't know if one of them is the tune (Holmes & Bee Gees def. not)
But that's all I could find..
Re below: I just read the whole article and it seems like the guy named the tracks himself! I still think that if it's not listed in the end credits then it's likely to be library music
Hi
Have a look at this which goes through the score especially track 3 'source music' which i'm guessing might be the piece you refer to. It doesn't listen any of the tracks that Pulse refers to though.
If it isn't listed in the end credits then more than likely it's library music
Danny Elfman 's Music For A Darkened People: The Complete MARS ATTACKS! Score
Sixty minutes is nothing special (but it\'s all the world to me)
I cut out that sample from the Mars Attacks complete score, posted on FFShrine Forums a while ago. I suspect it's not an original soundtrack but self-made version, albeit very professional one. The disco music heard in the film is included in the final track of the score; along with many others tunes used in the movie. But this "sample" is longer version that could be heard in the movie and, hence, I believe it's a real disco song.
However, there may always be the possibility the song has never been published and is, indeed, considered library/production music. But it doesn't mean the song should remain unidentified, as many production music songs have titles as well.
So, if only someone knew this song, I would be very, very grateful.
Would also be interesting to know if anyone else has heard this song used elsewhere? I know it was in some 90's Cartoon Network ad, but haven't seen it since.
I thought you were some kind of experts that can identify any song. Don't leave me disappointed.
I even posted this song on YouTube, YouTube - Unknown disco song, in hope of success. So far, none has commented on it.
This is unbelievable. Even some old production music compositions from the 50's have been managed to identify from the most tenuous description.
I guess this song will remain unknown forever, and the sample I got will be the longest version ever heard or posted in the internet. I will, nonetheless, bump this a couple of times a year, should there be new visitors or members who happened to know this song.
A bump for this, although I doubt it has any effect.
I beg you guys. This song has become an obsession for me, a nightmare. The 38-sec version is not enough, the full song must exist. But where?
I've tried to listen through the Associated Production Music collection, should it pop up, but to no avail.
