I recently received an e-mail from Medium Rare Music in San Francisco that included this announcement. I'm very excited about Linda Clifford coming back to the Bay Area! She has always been one of my favorite singers and I saw her for the first time in person last year, when she was on the Main Stage at SF Pride. She was as fabulous as I had always imagined her! So it's very exciting to see her in this beautiful new cabaret. I saw Ashford and Simpson (one of the best shows I have ever seen) at this room last month. The acoustics and sound are outstanding. I've already bought my tickets as it's Folsom Street Fair weekend and I'm afraid of it selling out with so many people coming to town.
And I have always been a fan of Pamala Stanley, although I have never seen her live. Some friends of mine did see her show on a cruise and told me that she was the best part of the entire cruise. They said her show is great and she is very funny and very nice. It will be quite the disco weekend, with the Trocadero party on Sunday and Pamala Stanley on Monday!
I'm also very curious who the other disco divas might be in the months following.
