    Favourite Disco record sleeves

I bet this topic has been done in the past but I'll ask it anyway (gosh I'm so assertive at times!). Have you guyz got a favourite record sleeve design/ photo? I can't decide between Change's wonderfully surreal 'Glow of Love' & 'Miracles' designs heralding as they did that 80's 'cool' look with its white, minimalist background. I also like Donna Summer's 'Four Seasons Of Love' & from more recent years, Club 69's 'Adults Only' design.

ive always loved "theres no place like america today" curtis mayfield, for disco camp bionic boogies polydor album with the girl in leather and the knobs on her tits is cool, but the campest ever for me[though it is a fantastic album] is mystiques self tiltled curtom album from 77 the guys are all floating in the air in various poses in polyester jump suits and twin sets the jump suits have the chest cut out, they all have contrasting scarfs which are blowing around in the wind and big platforms to match they are all pastel shades of orange purple and lemon i wonder if they were a hit with the girls !

Oh, so many to choose from!

    Lessee...

Donna Summer's "Live And More" with the die-cut cover...
    Le Pamplemousse's "Sweet Magic"
    Lightning (self-titled)
Bionic Boogie's debut (as mentioned above) and "Hot Butterfly"
Unison generic 12" sleeve with the lips around the cutout for the label - best generic sleeve ever!
US CBS "Disco Single" generic sleeve... love the lips
    Amii Stewart - "Paradise Bird"
The Ritchie Family - "Bad Reputation" -- get any gayer than this, and you've got Liberace in drag
    Liquid Gold (self-titled)
    Roundtree - Roller Disco
Dee D. Jackson - Cosmic Curves

How about the Richard Amsel covers for Bette Midler's first two albums and Formerly of The Harlettes? Also, the Pointer Sister's "Steppin'" and "That's A Plenty," and Labelle's "Chameleon" albums had some fun artwork.

Some off the top of my head:

    OHIO PLAYERS - Honey
    PARLIAMENT - Trombipulation
    LA FLAVOUR - Mandolay (LP)
    DONNA SUMMER - Bad girls

    out of disco & funk:
BEASTIE BOYS - Licensed to ill
    COCTEAU TWINS - Victorialand (LP)
    SUPERTRAMP - Breakfast in America
    THE CARS - Candy-O
ERIC DOLPHY - Out to lunch!

OK, I'll confess: when I was a kid I was into Charles Berlitz and Von Däniken, etc., and when "Pyramid" (The Alan Parsons Project) came out I thought it was the coolest cover ever!

Of course, I count off the Fausto Papetti collection...

I hate Their music but the Rolling Stones cover with the zipper was kinda cool too :) Don't know the name of the album.

K-Bee: the Stones album with the zipper is "Sticky fingers" (1971). The cover art was done by Andy Warhol.
