This is a very open-ended question. What do you mean by the 'old school vibe sound'? Anyhow, setting aside that ambiguity, those artists you mention are great. Kool and The Gang rock the party that rocks the party.
I just love the sound of the old school vibe sound, here are a few that spring to mind, I could add many more, They all differ in sound but have their similarities

the term is used to loosely now.... we need to find out the root of where the term came from. I've always wanted to say it came from Southern California.
anyways... love your list of artists.
It was the first thing I could think of, anyway just listening to the The Whispers those guys were good. All of the ones listed u feel your body wanting to move What about these Kashif Steve Arrington Earth Wind & Fire
You know EWF were the ****!!!! Let's Groove, whilst slightly trashy, is one of all-time favourite jams! Along with Serpentine Fire, etc...
Oh man, there's too much to mention.
Then i'd have to type here almost my whole collection and an endless-list of youtube-videos :icon_lol:
But i'll ride along with some mentioned artists here.
Check out this well-documentated link from Aurra, by Miss FunkyFlyy :

I'm a devoted fan of everything connected to the mighty jampatrol of Slave.
I was turning both albums of Steve Arrington's Hall of Fame inside out when i just got them as a present from my bro.
A few years before that, the Slave-lp's like Stone Jam up to Bad Enuff, and the first 3 Aurra-albums were on heavy rotation on my wheels of steel.
Not shure if this link below is correct :icon_lol:,
but here's a part of of the wikipedia-description :
" A school (in the sense of old school) is a grouping of people who share common characteristics of opinion or outlooks of philosophy, craft, or belief. It is in this sense that people refer to schools of thought, or schools of belief or practice, as in a school of painters. Schools are often—particularly in the field of popular music—characterized by their currency, and thus classified into "new" and "old" schools. Often there is a defining event or work which comes to be seen as separating old from new.
The term old school may have come from religion—in the 19th century the Presbyterians split into "Old School" and "New School" denominations, based on theological differences. Bleak House by Charles Dickens, published in monthly installments in 1852 and 1853, is an early example of its passing into common language. Dickens uses the phrase several times to describe the villainous lawyer Tulkinghorn. In Chapter II, he writes of Tulkinghorn: "He is of what is called the old school—a phrase generally meaning any school that seems never to have been young..."
Hip hop and R&B
In hip hop music, old school is used to refer to its earliest period: the 1970s and early 1980s (hence to artists like Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa, and Sugar Hill Gang.)
The "new school" was comprised of the new crop of rappers rising up after that period, such as Run-DMC and LL Cool J, in turn followed by Public Enemy and Eric B & Rakim. Eventually, what was the current "new school" turned into "old school" in popular perception.
R&B Old School refers to the soul acts of the 50's through the 80's and includes such great soul artists as the Whispers, OJays, Temptations, Spinners and the like. There are now "Old School" sites on the internet that cater to the "Baby Boomer" generation that still prefer old school rather that Rap. Such sites include Soul Tracks, Old-School-Music.com and more.
Electronic Dance Music
Oldskool (with a 'K', one word) is now a popular term that usually refers to a style of music popular in the early 1990s, which was at the time called breakbeat hardcore or rave music. The style fragmented in the mid 1990s but the "cheezy" Oldskool roots and even direct samples are easily found in many Happy Hardcore genre tracks as well as in other genres that share a common link with breakbeat hardcore. Oldskool/rave style parties are still widely held in the UK. Referring back to the music generally played at raves during the period 90-94 (the group Cappella is an example of Oldskool and rave music) that were staged by the likes of Fantazia, Rezerection, Raindance, Obsession, The Eclipse, Helterskelter and Perception. Several of these companies still stage events, alongside a number of newer names.

And ya know it !
Man, by the time Maurice started to experience with concept-albums like "All 'n All" ... that was a milepole-change in studio-recording.
That album reads like a storybook.
I always deeply dug the jazz-vibe in some of their tracks, like "See the Light" from their "That's the Way of the World"-album,
"Runnin" from "All 'n All", and "Faces" from the same-titled album.
Larry Dunn was a major force behind these compositions, and besides EW&F,
he did interesting fusionjazz-productions for Caldera, Ramey Lewis, Ronnie Laws, Stanley Turrentine, and others.
A few trademark-sounds of the 80's were from the labels Prelude / Salsoul / Solar /
the Chic-inspired productions from the late Fred Jaques Petrus / and a few more other labels.
Leroy Burgess is another important influence for the boogie-sound. He currently gives seminars & workshops :

Sounds like 'Old School' is the type of dance called Boogie (was it called that back in the day?), which is an uptempo funk sound that is disco-ey but not exactly Disco.
As for EWF, their mid 70s sound onward was alright, but I prefer the early years at Warner Brothers!
Disco Funk
Slave has you mentioned another great from the past, what about Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. produced some classics, Alexandra O'Neil, Cherelle, Didn't realise Pebbles was Cherelle's cousin.
Cherrelle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Changing the subject does anyone remember Baby D,
Dee Galdes (Dorothy Galdes) in Galaxy and married to Phil Fearon
If you like electric sound try shakatak and The Rah band
Saw Alexandra O'Neil last year and he did not dissapoint, if he comes to a venue near you, highly recommended.
Loose ends - early material written by former members of The Real thing another great group
Yeah, lol ... and the fun wiki-info that she changed her original Cheryl-name to "Cherrelle" because her
former boss used to yell at her :" Cher-RELLE !!!!... you're late again !" :icon_lol:
And now that you mentioned about Pebbles, i can connect the dots referring to Cherrelle's
appearance on a brief live-segment towards the end on one of Pebbles' last recorded albums.
Hey cool & interesting info... thanx.
I never knew about that, because i actually never bought any Rah Band-releases or dug into their catalogue.
Alexander has a sister who sings :icon_question: :icon_exclaim: :icon_eek: :icon_lol: ... jus' jokin'
But what i'd like to find from his pre-albumdebut era,
is his rare second released single from around 1983/1984 on Rich Records.
Yeah, when they were called "Loose End".
"In the Sky" is one of the 3 titles which pops in my memory right now.
Oh yeah, i remember those releases too. With all the lowriders on many of them cd-sleeves, lol.
I'm not shure who started that sleeve-style , but the Rhino-department from Atlantic released a 3-set of ol'skool jams,
including this hologram on the front-sleeve of lowriders which bumped when you moved the jewelcase, heheh...
*double post edit mess (lol)*
A few of them have been posted online :
We've Arrived

In the Sky ( remix )
Yep thanks.
His single, before the one on Rich Records, has appeared a few times on eBay though.
