I don't know if anyone considers it an insult. Nor that Belgium is seen as any particular culprit.
But it is being felt as another example of "The Selling of America". Along with the June 12 2008 news that the famous landmark, Chrysler Building in central Manhattan, is about to be sold to the Abu Dhabi Investment Council.
It's like WalMart buying the Eiffel Tower.

I'd rather drink a Samuel Adams or Guinness over Bud any day. Having said that, it is sad that American companies, especially record labels, along with iconic buildings are being sold piece meal to the highest bidder. It's as though we're losing our cultural identity.
