    Unhappy R.I.P. Bo Diddley 1928-2008

    Sad news continues here with the departure of another legend.

    Bo Diddley passed away at the age of 79.

    Diddley was of great influence with his typical African based 5/4 rhytmic guitar licks.

    Rest in peace Bo and thank you for the Music!

    In his day BO DIDDLEY was a very influential musician. Great groups likr the BEATLES and the STONES were heavily influenced by BO. DISCO sounds came from him before the TERM "Disco" was ever used. He was an incredible performer who left his mark on us all, whether we know it or not. RIP

    Absolutely, listen to Bohannon. A lot of his tracks have the spirit of Bo Diddley all over 'em.

    RIP. Here's one of his 70s tracks that was sampled a bit probably because it was on the Ultimate Breaks & Beats series: Disco Funk
