    homage to New York City

I'm doing a theme of mostly disco music honoring New York city and need sugestions. The songs can either mention New York directly or mention parts of New York like Central Park, Broadway, Queens etc. Here's a few that come to mind:

Vera- Take Me To The Bridge
    Grace Jones- The Apple Stretching
    George Benson- On Broadway
    Odyssey- Native New Yorker
Manhattan Transfer- Boy From New York City
Nina Hagen- New York New York
Kelly Marie- New York At Night
    Village People- New York City
Pet Shop Boys vs Village People New York City Boy
    Metropolis- I Love New York
Metropolis- New York Is My Kind Of Town
Billy Joel- New York State Of Mind
    Lou Reed-New York Telephone Converstion

    Thanks

Besides the not-quite-disco ones you could add (Frank Sinatra's "Theme from New York, New York," Barry Manilow's "New York City Rhythm," Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side"), I'd throw in:

Andrea True Connection's "N.Y. You Got Me Dancing" and the sublime "Backtrack" by Cerrone.

Re: homage to New York City

Thanks guys for all the sugestions. I just realized that if I used all the songs with New York in the lyrics it would be too much. Does anyone have other suggestions for songs that do not mention New York within the lyrics but are synonymous with the city. An example is Tim Curry's "Paradise Garage" or Lisa's "Jump Shout" where she mentions The Saint and other famous discos of New York. Looking forward to your suggestions.

Glad this cut got mentioned...such a corker.

"Harlem" by Bill Withers, thought not disco disco, counts for me.

Forgot the ever popular "Boy From New York City" by The Manhattan Transfer.
Then AMANT's "NEW YORK'S ON FIRE", forgot those two.
