it's: Webster Lewis - Open Up Your Eyes
Hello everyone ,
I've been trying to identify this song for quite some time, and I was wondering if anyone could help me. As I stated in the title, it's a late 70's/early 80's song and it's by a female singer. It's kind of slow and the singer sounds like a mixture of Eloise Laws and Angela Bofill, but I don't think it's by either of them. Here are the lyrics to the first verse and the chorus (the parts in the parentheses are sung by male background singers):
(Verse 1)
I'm not in love with you to play a game
I'm thinking of our lives and making plans
You can trust in me
I will trust you too
If I give love to you
You can give it too
Ooo heeey (ooo, think about it...think about it)
You know I'm not an ordinary girl
Sometimes you're scared
You're running from the world
But here I am today
Standing in your way
If you want me to
I'll give love to you
(Chorus)
'Cause if you need me
Just say the word (say the word)
I will teach you
Love's by your side
I'll wear no disguise
'Cause true love is alive
Open up your eyes
Does that ring a bell? I have the Mp3 for that song, but I have no idea who sings it. I'll appreciate the help, so thanks in advance :icon_cool:!
