I wanted to extend a special invitation to Disco fans on Discomusic.com to be guests at the concert on Friday.

Disco Queen Donna Summer will be putting on a concert on NBC's TODAY Show, Friday May 30th. Fans and visitors are encouraged to join us on the plaza for the live performance. Viewing is on a first-come, first-served basis outside TODAY's Window on the World Studio, located at 49th Street and Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

We would really love to have some great Disco & Donna Summer fans here on Friday for the concert.

Bernie: did you enjoy her performance on the Today show? I sure did. And it was a bit surprising to me how many people seemed to know the lyrics to "Stamp Your Feet" when the record has only been out a very short time! There are 2 points I want to mention though: the percussion seemed too loud, at least to my ears. And why is she wearing such dark shades? I didn't even see her take them off when she was interviewed.

I was busy at work so only got to see and barely hear the first minute or so of Donna's performance, but from the little I saw she looked and sounded great. I did catch the "Empress" line though. Everyone at work who wasn't busy were glued to the TV and all said she was great. They were all impressed that she still has it.

Would loved to have been there as I was offered a VIP pass, but just couldn't travel up to NYC on such short notice. Bummer... I have a feeling we are going to hear and see a lot from her in the coming weeks as the label is aggressively pushing her Crayons album.
