P.S. She is on Letterman on Monday, June 2.
Did anybody else think there was something wrong with Donna's mike when she was singing "She Works Hard For The Money" and "Hot Stuff"? The volume of her vocals seemed to be too low? In fact, during her interview with Matt Lauer, I noticed he had her talk into the mike he was holding rather than the mike she was singing into.

I only saw 2 songs: "She Works Hard For The Money" & "Stamp Your Feet"...but I did notice during the interview with Matt after "SWHFTM" that she didn't appear to be talking into her mic...also she cheated on holding some of the notes on "SWHFTM"---didn't hold them at all. :icon_confused:
Then, it was getting to late & I had to go to the subway... so I missed "Bad Girls" & what else??? :icon_question:

Mark, they played the portion of the concert with Donna singing "Hot Stuff" at about 9: 45 am, right before the show was ending. That was it! Needless to say, I was REALLY late for work today!
Donna was on Letterman last night.
She sounded good and looked great.
The first one is her performance. The second is all mentions of her by David and the performance.
That performance on Letterman was certainly the best that song has sounded on TV...waaaaay better than on "The Today Show" or "American Idol"...
I still think the song seems unworthy of her talents...but it's kinda catchy....when they have to S-P-E-L-L everything, I always cringe.....
sorta more in the genre of crap-tastic stars like Fergie & her ilk...but it's growing on me ....like a fungus?:icon_mrgreen:
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
I agree. It's not the best, but it is growing on me. Like much of today's music, it relies on repetitive playing. And remixes.
She is getting a lot of press. Check out this CNN interview and the video. She said "Last Dance" was her favorite song. That surprised me because she didn't write it.

Sorry I hurt you. Isn't that the way you feel about most of the "stars" of today?....I watch them and, even though some are talented, like Beyonce'--I just think "crap-tastic"...I'm watching... but I ain't diggin' it....could care less about them...I get no pleasure from their performance--even though I realize, in a few cases, that they are kinda good. :icon_eek::icon_confused::icon_evil:
Watching the Grammy Awards or the AMA is a festival of one "crap-tastic" act after another...winning awards."Hollaback Girl"..."London Bridge"...Fergilicious"...."My Humps"... all qualify as gawd-awful...and even that 'Umbrella-ella-ella-ella" song gets on my nerves!!!
I'm so mean.![]()
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Sadly, the songs you've listed plus the many others that have hit the top ten over the past few years centre around self-centredness and arrogance. I'm trying to think of any songs from the past that carry this theme....I suppose Mac Davis' "It's Hard To Be Humble"....:icon_confused:
