Does anyone know who sings this soul/disco number?
Can't remember the lyrics, but certainly more soul rather than disco. I think from memory it may have had a flute playing in it too. (but of course, I could be wrong)

One of my fav songs by Heatwave was called "Super Soul Sister"..around the 79 time frame. Don't remember a flute in it though. Then again, you could be talking about Patti labelle's "lady Marmalade..which has the famous hook:
