Listen Up #2 (a walk down easy street)

Most music i played this week was in making a compilation cd with "Easy" tracks,
maybe some ring a bell for the romantics among us.......

Gary's gang - Spirits (Gangbusters album)
Rose Royce - Wishing on a star (In full bloom album)
Howard Hewitt - Stay (12" After midnight mix)
Geraldine Hunt - Can't fake the feeling (12")
Cris Rainbow - Body music (Disconet remix)
    Funkmasters - It's over (12")
Johhny Matthis - Gone gone gone (12")
    Candi Staton - Victim (12")
Olivia Newton John - Soul kiss (12")
Temptations - Papa was a rolling stone (12")
Isaac Hayes - Theme from Shaft (12")
Leonore o'Malley - First be a woman (Album title track)
Gwen Guthrie - Seventh heaven (Levan remix from Padlock LP)
Johnny Bristol - Love no longer has a hold on me (12")

Had to leave out a few, 80 mins is short once you start playing the nice stuff :-)
    Maybe next time:
    Cameo - Strange (12")
First choice - The player (album title track)
Taja Sevelle - Love is contageous (7")

Playing while i'm typing this :
    Broadway 1 + 2 - Bootlegs '80 :P

That Taj Sevelle track was interesting wasn't it? Another of Prince's proteges. I actually thought the follow-up single was better; do you remember it? I think it was called 'Wouldnt You Love to Love Me'.

    SD,
The Taja Sevelle track was a beauty, still gives me the feel of a warm summer night, played this often together with Style Council's Long hot summer in sleaze sets.

Taja was one of the people that Prince helped to get along, luckily, along with other ladies like Appollonia, Sheila E, Martika (guess talent does run in the family)

Never seen the second single here, although i did have the self-titled album (on Paisley i believe) back then, if it was a track from that album i've heard it for sure though, played a number of tracks from that one but they've all seemed to have faded out of memory, except Love is.......
