Charlies Angels TV Series Theme Disco Version

I remember hearing a disco version of the Charlie's Angels TV series theme on the radio around 1978. Does anyone know who did this and if it was released on a 12 inch?

Hey, CdnBob, I know I have a 12-inch version of that tv series theme done in disco-style, though I'll have to check tonight and let you know tomorrow a.m. as to the artist, year, label, release #, etc. One thing I do remember about it is that the 12-inch label is brown with a dancing woman dressed in pink on it. Also, the name P&P comes to mind, as possibly the label name? One thing I know for sure is that the artist on this particular 12-inch is NOT Henry Mancini, who had the minor-hit version (# 45 pop chart) on the radio airwaves in the spring of 1977. More tomorrow . . . and hopefully, there's a few different disco versions of that theme floating out there, so let's leave to fellow members to weigh in on their collections as well.

Is this an instrumental? I don't think the version I recall had any singers on it.

Looked this a.m. at that P&P label version of the disc I described earlier in this thread -- and it is one ODD 12-inch 45 rpm single! It's P&P release 12-444-A, with NO copyright date on the label, and the artist is not really listed, just Philip Rogers as the arranger of the TV theme written by others, and the flip side does list Philip Rogers as the writer & arranger of that tune, too. Safe to say, Philip Rogers was definitely involved, but who knows if he ever credited himself as a "solo" artist, as he could've just headed up a studio group (perhaps unnamed) ??? Anyone got any more info on their 12-inchers out there involving Mr. Rogers ??? Re: the non-listed-date of this P&P version, I'd have to guesstimate it would've been 1977, as the series premiered in the fall of '76, and was an immediate sensation (a la Ms. Fawcett). Mancini's version of the theme music hit the pop charts in the Spring of '77, which is when Farrah left the series after just one season of episodes, to jump-start her movie career (and promptly got sued by the producers). Again, if anyone has more definitive info, please provide !!! And happy Memorial Day weekend to ya'll !!!

Listening to all of it, I believe that 13:20 is way too long they should have made a 4-5 mins version of this instead.
If you buy this record your life, will be better.

There's a fab 7.31 mins edit of this track on the 'Deep Disco Culture volume 2' double CD compilation.

Brass Button Band from Britain has a nice instrumental disco version on their album and the Dutch Donna Lynton did a very good vocal one, both in 1977. Donna's version came out only as a 7".

Philip Rogers/Oral Caress one in the same...look at the label VERY closely and you'll see Oral Caress on it (if you have the record). Took years for me to even know this till a friend pointed it out to me and had me look close LOL

the 13:20 is actually nothing but a pointless loop back job (and roughly done as well if you listen close, you can hear the edit). If you chop that out...the actual original recording comes to 7 mins and some.

There's also a video of it in on her site-link below , where she sings it on a broadcast-show , though the audio-quality of it malfunctions on my pc.
