Weren't both songs on the same single? But given the same title, just one was listed as the disco mix, like the Dreaming A Dream single?
Disco Funk

Thank you Stephen !
Disco Funk the only way its mentioned on ebay is as being backed by PICTURE SHOW
That FOXY /FOXY LADY situation must have caused some confusion .....and look to top it off , the 45 of FOXY LADY says its from the LP DREAMING A DREAM :icon_exclaim: :icon_confused:
When they repackaged the LP , I wonder why they didn't go ahead and offer the two versions as they did with DREAMING A DREAM ??
Also --- When Meco gets credited for arranging strings can that include guitar??
...because EVERY BEAT OF MY HEART features that same wonderful galloping guitar as on Gloria Gaynor's NEVER CAN SAY GOODBYE (and ... is there a term for that particular guitar sound???)

I couldn't say, as I'd only bought the LPs, when each was released. Not the singles.
But I distinctly remember when the vocal, "Foxy Lady" came out.
Without going into too much detail, I'll say that it was MY song, for the dancefloor.
Folks knew to give me and my dance partner Phil, some room!

first came the longer
"FOXY" with the "Barry White" intro that was an LP cut ONLY :
This song was then whittled down and reworked into a tune called "FOXY LADY" that was then released as a single. :
can you say SHAFT-Bohannon-EXORCIST all at the same time ???
thank you youtube

and here's the LP cut that Meco Monardo arranged the strings for:
Crown Heights Affair: "Feeling Tall"
what an ambitious heart-felt undertaking ....brings to my mind Tower Of Power ..... (love the strings, Meco!)
