I thought I'd found something new "Esty"-wise for you Eric, but alas ... should have known better.

Oh well maybe of interest to others -

this Bob Esty /DC LaRUE song is only (??) found as a "B" side on the Canadian pressing only of DO YOU WANT THE REAL THING , & was never included on any albums.:

YOU CAN ALWAYS TELL A LADY ...

    EricHG23:

I do LOVE Don't Be Afraid of the Dark--it and Hot Jungle Drums are my highlights from Forces. Dark has this marvelous sad/melancholy quality to it, something in the chord changes and the little "sparkly" synth sound, hard to describe.
Oh Eric, you are right about this song and the way you describe it

    .... most dreamy

Why do I wish it were Amanda Lear singing it???

It's also on the b-side of my UK 12" of 'Let Them Dance' on Pye records.

You're so right remmy, she would be perfect on this track; I s'pose D.C. was America's answer to Ms Lear with his semi-spoken unusual singing style.
